This naturally-processed coffee has it all - chocolatey and nutty notes that would typically be associated with Brazilian coffees, as well as tropical fruit notes and amazing body, that make it a rare and unique cup.
Áqua Limpa gets its name from the mountain on which it is grown. The mountain's peak is home to a freshwater spring that runs down the mountain and is the headwaters for the Rio Canoas. This coffee is grown by a community of farmers, neighboring Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza, a farm we have worked with for over ten years. The producers of Áqua Limpa work to promote sustainable agriculture and wildlife restoration in their surrounding environment. Not only do they convert traditional farms to organic, but they also have been planting trees to rejuvenate the rainforests and sustain the wildlife, and have created a 100-year plan with other farms in the area to ensure the long range success of their efforts. This lot in particular is an exciting new variety of coffee called Arará, which has Brazilian coffee experts excited for its excellent cup quality and we can verify that their excitement is justified!
