From the Roaster:

Though it’s technically from the Sidama zone, Ethiopian ‘Gerbicho Lela’ has a classic Yirga Cheffe flavor with notes of orange blossom, peach candy, brown sugar, and earl grey tea with a clean and creamy body.

This Fair Trade Organization and certified organic coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the Gerbicho Lela Cooperative located in the district of Aleta Wendo within the Sidama Zone, Southern Nations Nationalities, and Peoples' Region, Ethiopia. The Gerbicho Lela Cooperative joined the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU), which is an umbrella organization established in 2001 to support a sustainable coffee supply from cooperatives in the Sidama region. SCFCU supports forty-six cooperatives with more than 80,000 farmer-members in southern Ethiopia.

I have been a subscriber since their launch, having been introduced to Better Grounds at a coffee festival. I have enjoyed every monthly selection so far! Their service is a great choice for anyone who, like me, wants easier access great quality coffee and anyone who might feel overwhelmed trying to look into the sourcing bonafides of different brands. I appreciate that they do this work for their clients, and also support different roasters who are doing good work.
