From the roaster:  Coffee was discovered in Ethiopia and then perfected by everybody who ever touched it since -- or so everyone likes to think. Way back in the 19th Century or so, coffee landed in Europe and each country seemed to think their way of roasting was best; this is how you get French Roast & Italian Roast. (How you get blonde roast is a whole different story and involves clever marketing not fair-haired roasting folks).

Bongo's interpretation of the classic French dark roast is a rich, heavy-bodied coffee with subtle notes of black walnut. Ooh la la & Paix, amour & Bongo!

I have been a subscriber since their launch, having been introduced to Better Grounds at a coffee festival. I have enjoyed every monthly selection so far! Their service is a great choice for anyone who, like me, wants easier access great quality coffee and anyone who might feel overwhelmed trying to look into the sourcing bonafides of different brands. I appreciate that they do this work for their clients, and also support different roasters who are doing good work.
